Here we have the Flying Grasshopper.
0.75 oz. Vodka
0.75 oz. Creme de Menthe (Green, obviously)
0.5 oz. Creme de Cacao
Shake over ice
Strain into chilled cocktail glass
(Featured here in a coupe, because I love Coupes!)
Optional Mint Garnish – chose to leave it out, so it didn’t get in the way when I chugged this bad boy!
Review: Refreshing, cool, great for after-dinner, or to have first thing in the morning before things get too crazy. If you’re just sitting around sipping, I’d even be so bold as to make it a double. The Creme de Cacao adds a nice amount of sweetness, and this cocktail dates way back to the early 1900’s, so — you guessed it, it’s a classic, and a long-established staple here in the American South!!
