This little diddy here is decadent, smooth, and all-around delicious (if you like Chocolate).
Sometimes I want to make things with egg whites to smooth them out, and I am not the world’s largest whisk(e)y drinker. Sorry, not sorry. So, I decided to take some bourbon, and add some chocolate, and some other things to create a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and to use some of the things that I don’t always use.
Long Live the King
2 oz. Bourbon
.25 oz. Creme de Cacao
.25 oz. Galliano
.75 oz. Egg Whites
2 dsh Chocolate Bitters
Add all ingredients to shaker WITHOUT ice.
Dry shake for emulsification purposes.
Add ice, and shake a little more.
Shake a little more.
Just a little bit more shaking.
Strain it into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with shaved chocolate and nutmeg.
Thoughts: I’m not going to lie – This drink is not my personal favorite thing. It is “good,” but I would really only drink one, and probably after dinner, or something. It is soothing, and does not have a lot of the whiskey burn, so I like it, but LOVE is going a little far.
I’d love to hear your opinions on this drink, what you think about how it sounds, or if you make it, what you think about the way it tastes. Thanks for taking the time to check out my content, and I will see you next time!
