We made a craft shot! Not everything needs to be sipped. Sometimes you just want something that has a good mix of flavors, and can be taken to the face!
We made it a bit of a bigger shot, but it’s really just a touch over 3 ounces. You can always cut the ratios in half to get it to be 1.5 ounces, or closer to 2. We just figured we’d get two shots out of the way at once. =p
1 oz. Bourbon
1 oz. Elderflower Liqueur
0.5 oz. Creme de Cassis
0.66 oz. Lemon Juice
Shake it for 30 seconds or better, for maximum flavor incorporation
Strain into shot glass
Review: The elderflower with the bourbon is a very nice mix, for people who don’t want to taste their liquor when they drink. The Cassis adds some sweetness, which balances out the herbal elderflower notes! We throw some citrus in there, because lemon juice is good for your metabolism (I’m just kidding, it’s because citrus pairs well with the elderflower and cassis.)
I quite like this shot, and I think it will be something I keep in reserve for the next time somebody wants a shot but doesn’t just want a shot of tequila. =]

Enjoy! See ya next time.
