Pomegranate Bourbon Sour

Thanks for tuning in to my 3-in-a-row cocktail spectacular while I get my posts caught up!

Pretty simple name for a relatively simple cocktail.

Not a lot to say today. Was feeling like making a sour, but wanted to put something else in it, and Pomegranate fit the profile.

Here’s our take on it —

Pomegranate Bourbon Sour
1.5 oz. Bourbon (We put Rebel Yell in it)
1 oz. Pama
1.5 oz. House-made Sour Mix

Build it all in a rocks glass
Give it a nice little roll
Garnish it with a wide orange peel and a few pomegranate seeds

Seen here sporting the Lemon Wheel look, as I spaced on buying garnishes for this entire shoot.

Notes: As I mentioned, it’s an easy riff on a classic. If you enjoy whiskey sours, give this Rebel Yell bourbon a shot, and see what you think. The Pama gives it that additional hint of dryness, as it isn’t too sweet, so there’s not an imbalance with the sugar contained in the sour mix. As a bourbon drink, I appreciated the simplicity, and not all things need to be complex. =]

Feel free to leave a comment on what you think about this cocktail, or if you make one, please share your experience here or on Facebook.

Enjoy! See ya next time! =]
