Gin Blossom

This is a pretty straightforward cocktail. It is essentially an Apricot Martini, and I will let the recipe speak for itself, today.

Here’s how we made it —

Gin Blossom
1.5 oz. Aviation Gin
1 oz. Dry Vermouth
0.75 oz. Apricot Simple
2 dsh Orange Bitters

Stir all ingredients
Strain into a coupe, or a martini glass
Garnish with alternating apricot/orange pieces
*additionally garnish with jasmine pods for extra aroma

Notes: Nothing too crazy about this drink. Sometimes they are just this simple. The apricot really adds an extra something to the overall martini aspects of the drink. The orange bitters helps to bring that flavor forward, and the additional dry vermouth compliments the gin, as well as lending its tart, floral profile to accentuate the use of apricots as well as light orange notes for a crisp, alcoholic riff on the martini.
