Smoke and Mirrors

Hey! This is your typical Turner-style drink. Some brown liquid in a coupe with a fruit twist.

Sorry about the murkiness of the glass. I took it out of the freezer, and the mist makes it look dirty.

Here’s how I did it —

Smoke and Mirrors
0.33 oz. Mezcal
1.5 oz. Rhum Agricole
0.75 oz. Averna
3 dsh Angostura Bitters

Stir
Strain into chilled coupe
Garnish with a lemon twist

Notes: This was just something that I had on my mind to make. I always love working with the mezcals that I have, and I am always looking for things to put that Rhum Agricole in that I bought. So, I figured I’d put all that in with some Averna, because I am addicted. This drink had a bunch of different notes. It was not something I would drink a bunch of. It had a really good starting note, and aroma, but it didn’t live up to all of that on the backnote, so you pretty much had to take large drinks to offset that.

Feel free to leave a comment on what you think about this cocktail, or if you make one, please share your experience here or on Facebook.

Enjoy! See ya next time! =]
