Spring Picnic

Our photographer, Robbie Brindley, named this one. He’s a good dude. This drink was probably one of our favorites from this shoot. I’m just going to jump right into it.

Here’s how we did it —

Spring Picnic
1.5 oz. Scotch (We used Glenlivet)
0.5 oz. Elderflower Liqueur
1.5 oz. Egg Whites
Light splash of Allspice Dram
Chamomile leaves

Place the Chamomile in a mortar and pestle
Gently grind them and pour in the Scotch
Let sit for 3-5 minutes

In shaker, pour the chamomile-infused scotch, and other ingredients
Dry shake to emulsify egg whites
Add ice
Shake until sufficiently chilled
Double strain into chilled coupe
Garnish with Lemon Zest

Notes: This drink tastes like its name, which is how Robbie came up with it. It has a very nice tea aroma, and the elderflower blends really well with the lemon zest, for a rich blend of flavors. Very nice for a hot day, or an early Spring day.

Feel free to leave a comment on what you think about this cocktail, or if you make one, please share your experience here or on Facebook.

Enjoy! See ya next time! =]
