Just wanted to do something like a Jungle Bird, but add a few different components.
Pretty straightforward. How it differs from a regular Jungle Bird is down in the notes.
Here’s how it went down —
Jungle Bird Riff
1.5 oz. Pineapple-Infused Spiced Rum
0.5 oz. Lime Juice
0.5 oz. Passion Fruit Juice
0.5 oz. Campari
1 oz. Pineapple Juice
Shake all ingredients over ice
Dump everything into a rocks glass
Garnish with a mint sprig
Optional – garnish with pineapple, pineapple fronds, umbrella, whatever you have laying around =p
Notes: Removed Dark Rum and Simple Syrup. Replaced with Pineapple-Infused Spiced Rum and Passion Fruit Juice. Also, shaking and dumping, rather than shaking and straining over fresh ice.
This cocktail is a classic. We just wanted to move some things around. No sense in making a pineapple-infused rum if you’re not going to use it. Had a very tiki taste to it, and is an overall great cocktail for get togethers and hot weather!
