Get it while it’s hot! Literally — this Habanero-infused Rum drink is probably the spiciest thing we’ve ever made, and I personally would not have it any other way.
When I say the Spice is Right, I mean it. It has just enough spice to drag you in, and it builds just enough as you continue. The fruit mix helps to keep it perfectly balanced.
Here’s how it went down —
The Spice is Right
1.5 oz. Habanero-infused Light Rum
1 oz. Pineapple Juice
1.5 Coconut Cream
Blend all ingredients with 1 scoop of ice
Pour it all into a Hurricane Glass
Garnish with nutmeg-covered bananas & a fresh pineapple wedge
Notes: Depending on how you make your Habanero Rum (I used 3 whole habaneros for 1 750mL bottle over 8 hours) depends on how much you’re really going to use. I would perhaps say do 2 habaneros, but if you taste it and want more, go ahead and throw in the third.
This drink really was refreshing, overall. The pineapple, bananas, and nutmeg really help to cut the habanero, but not so much that you do not notice it. It is definitely alcoholic, and it definitely hot!
