For our second cocktail we wanted a nice, complex drink with some depth.
Here’s how it went down —
Don’t get TART with me!
.75 oz. Broker’s Gin
.75 oz. Gracias a Dios Mezcal Espadin
.25 oz. Maraschino Liqueur
.5 oz. Grapefruit Juice
.5 oz. Lime Juice
.33 oz. Cinnamon Simple Syrup
Shake all ingredients over ice
Strain into rocks glass over large cube (We branded ours!)
Garnish with Luxardo cherries, and splash a little juice in there for color
Notes: This cocktail wound up being one of my favorites from the shoot. It’s pretty much a sour, with all the citrus notes, and the classic botanical mixture from the gin. The mezcal rounds it all out nicely with the smoke, and I find that splitting the base evenly really helps bring it all together.
