Here we go, folks! Gearing up for the 4th of July weekend!
Let’s just jump right into it —
End of the Line
2 dsh Orange Bitters
1.5 oz. Spiced Rum (we used Blackheart)
0.5 oz. Ginger Liqueur
0.66 oz. Ginger Beer
2-3 drops of Absinthe
Build the ingredients in a Collins glass in order
Garnish with a lemon — we used a flower, because it looks nice
Notes: This is pretty much a riff on a Rum Mule. Just wanted to play with the subtle notes of Absinthe, and I personally enjoy Blackheart Rum, so I figured I would throw them in a cup. It was pretty refreshing, light, bubbly. The flavors weren’t anything new, but it is interesting with the hints of Wormwood.
